This 7-day Tanzania wildlife safari includes visits to Tarangire National Park, Serengeti National Park, the Ngorongoro Crater, and Lake Manyara. Discover Tanzania’s beauty as this itinerary will bring you to some of Tanzania’s most beautiful locations. Visit the national parks in the northern circuit known for its tree-climbing lions, Big 5 exploration, and the great wildebeest migration allowing you to see the richness of species in the country.
Depart early in the morning from your departing city. You will then arrive at Tarangire, a lesser-known park, which is excellent for having fewer crowds when exploring. There are a large number of elephant herds that gather in this park and massive ancient baobab trees that are over 1000 years old. The Tarangire River runs through the park bringing many different animals to migrate here in the dry season.
In the late afternoon, we will drive to your accommodation for the night.
After an early breakfast, you will drive to Serengeti National Park, with a game drive en-route, stopping for wildlife viewings. You will drive through Ngorongoro Conservation Area into Serengeti National Park. As you drive, you will be able to notice the change in landscape as you enter the vast endless plains of the Serengeti. We will have a packed lunch at the gate before heading into the park. Once entered in Serengeti, you will have a game drive while continuing en-route to your accommodations for the night.
Today you will spend the entire day in the Serengeti National Park. You have a full day on a game drive in the park, and you will be able to grasp the extensive size of the Serengeti quickly. The short grasses make this a great place to spot lions, leopards, jackals, cheetahs, and dik-diks, along with the larger animals that roam the plains, elephants, hippopotamus, zebras, wildebeest, buffalo and many others.
We will decide the best options for accommodations and game drives depending on the season and wildlife location. You will spend the night within the Serengeti.
Today you will spend another entire day in the Serengeti National Park. We will drive towards the great migration of millions of wildebeest, zebras, and gazelle. This is the largest mammal migration in the world. Throughout the year, the migration moves clockwise within the Serengeti and the Maasai Mara across the different ecosystems.
Late in the day, we will drive back to your accommodations for the night or relocate to a new location within the Serengeti.
Today you will spend another entire day in the Serengeti National Park. By now, you are getting to feel the vastness of the endless plains of the Serengeti, an area of 30,000 sq km. As we continue on the game drive throughout the day, depending on the time of year, you may have the opportunity to experience the great migration's calving season with the calves' birthing or the river crossing of the Mara River into Kenya. Both are excellent and memorable experiences to have.
You will spend the night in accommodation within the Serengeti.
Depart the Serengeti early morning and drive through Ngorongoro Conservation Area into the Ngorongoro Crater. This is considered one of the 7 natural wonders of the world. As you descend the crater walls, you will quickly notice the number of animals that can be found in a small area and understand why it is worth the visit. Spend the day game viewing with the chance to see the "big 5" within the crater. Due to the small size of the crater, the black rhinoceros can frequently be seen here.
In the late afternoon, we will drive to your accommodations for the night.
We will depart early morning from the accommodations and drive to Lake Manyara National Park. This park lies between the great valley rift and Lake Manyara. A birder's paradise with over 300 bird species have been found here. The lions frequently climb trees here, and thousands of flamingoes migrate to the lake.
We will then depart in the late afternoon and drive back to the city, dropping you off at your accommodation for the night.
