If you do not have the time or are not prepared to summit Mount Kilimanjaro, a day hike is a great alternative to be able to experience a small piece of what the mountain has to offer.

For a day hike, we follow the Marangu route to Mandara Hut, around 3-4 hours, through the rainforest where colobus monkeys can be spotted. We stop for a rest and lunch at the hut and continue for a short walk to Maundi Crater, where on a clear day, the views are stunning. We will then head down the mountain to the vehicle waiting for you and drive back to town.
